How many dogs are allowed in the van?

We only allow one dog at a time in the van. This eliminates the other dog(s) from having to be crated which sometimes creates unnecessary anxiety in the dog.

Can I sit in the van while you groom?

Unfortunately, pet owners are not allowed to sit in the van while the dog is being groomed.

Can I request a special cut for my dog?

Absolutely! Just make sure the groomer is knowledgeable of the cut and it’s always helpful to have a picture of what you have in mind. That way, there’s no confusion on the style cut that you’re requesting.

Should I tell My groomer that my dog has health issues?

Yes, please inform your groomer of any health issues your dog is experiencing prior to grooming. This way, your groomer can work around any known issues.

Can my groomer decide not to service my dog if it could potentially harm my dog?

Yes, Paws Up groomers are trained to put the dogs health first.

Can I get a trim only for my dog?

Yes, you can receive a trim only as long as the groomer can tell that the dog has recently been bathed.

How long do I have to cancel my appointment?

Please cancel 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. If not, Paws Up reserve the right not to provide services to your dog anymore or to refuse a refund. Note..we are aware emergencies happen. So, this policy is for customer who fail to respect the relationship that ‘s built between the groomer and the dog.

What is the typical time for each groom?

It depends on the size of the dog and the services that are requested. Small short hair dogs tend to take 1.5 hours, whereas small long hair dogs can take up to 2.5 hours. Large short hair dogs tend to take 2.5 hours whereas large long hair dogs can take up to 3-4 hours.

My dogs breath really stinks. Can my groomer help with my dogs breath?

Absolutely! We offer teeth brushing as an option. Please note, some groomers use wipes to clean the teeth and some use tooth paste and tooth brush. It depends on the groomers style and choice. Some dogs will require actually teeth cleanings to help with bad breath that can only be handled at the vet.
